Lucky Has Been Adopted!
Hi! My name is Lucky, and I am a very sweet, very friendly, very affectionate 5 year-old, neutered male Llasa Apso! I am very sad right now...my owner passed away several weeks ago, and no one in the family is able to take me in. I have been living in my home, largely by myself, with relatives coming in daily to give me food and water. I'm very, very lonely.
I am a terrific lap dog (once I get to know you). I love to cuddle, be on your lap, or sit by your side or at your feet. I am a cuddle-ball of sweetness! I'm a pretty good walker on leash, and am excellent at the groomer's. I am fairly low key, and mostly just want to hang around my person or people, giving and getting affection. I'm not clingy though...I am also fine entertaining myself if you are busy!
I have a kidney issue, but it's well-controlled on daily medicine and special food. And while I much prefer to potty outside, my owner wasn't able to take me out, so trained me to go indoors on puppy pads. If given the option, I potty outdoors, so the granddaughter thinks I will retrain to potty outside all the time fairly quickly. I'm motivated and I "get it" about going outdoors, I just haven't had the chance in a while, so need a little refresher course! The only other thing to know about me is that I don't like children, and have gotten nippy around them in the past. The Llasa Apso rescue folks say that this is pretty standard/normal for our breed, and that many of us Llasas just can't be around kids. I'm one of those!
