Kids Helping Dogs

Last spring, 6th graders Gwen Umbach and Molly Pritz, dog lovers extraordinaire, decided they wanted to do something to help abandoned dogs and the people who rescue them.  They came up with a wonderful idea!  They solicited local merchants for donated doggy goodies such as toys, treats, and food, and then assembled the goodies into lovely baskets bursting with dog supplies.  They donated dozens and dozens of these filled baskets to Cayuga Dog Rescue and suggested that we give them to the big-hearted people who adopt our needy dogs.  How sweet is that?

Kids with innovative ideas, huge hearts, and the willingness to put in some time, energy, and sweat can do amazing things.  We hope Gwen and Molly inspire you and your kids to find something wonderful that you can do to spread love and aid to some needy segment of our community!

We think you're the best, Gwen & Molly!
THANK YOU! and THANK YOU!
